Memory Components in computer usually decide as to how fast the processing is done in the computers. Realistically speaking CPU is unable to accept a large amount data that is given to it for processing; and therefore if there are not ample amounts of memory available in the system the computer would stop operations totally or it would take very long to process the commands in the system. Memory in the PC is very expensive but experts in this field function in such a manner that the most expensive memory components are the farthest available in the PC and the less expensive ones are the ones that are available in the system but the smaller memory components are less expensive and they can help to function with the system very effectively. In the memory component hierarchy, the base has the most inexpensive storage components which include the USB Drives, hard disk etc. Above that tier is the Random Access Memory, which consists of the virtual memory that is very important for effective functioning of the system. Above that tier is the small cache memory.
In the RAM segment there are facilities available that help in providing the needful for the computer immediately as and when it is required by the system. The speed of RAM available is again dependent on the bytes that get transferred to and fro from the computer. When there is a burst mode of data there is pipelining that is required. This is known as latency factor in RAM which functions as being responsible for streamlining the data in the sequence in which request are generated by the users. Also depending on the type of memory it can again be characterized as volatile and non volatile memory in the computer. The former gets erased as soon as power is switched off from the computer and RAM is an example of this kind of memory, on the other hand the non volatile memories stay with the computers even when things are switched off. The latest USB drives are a good example of this kind of memory. All in all an effective kind of memory stacked up in computers can go a long way to ensure that there is efficiency imparted to the system so that there is no hindrances at the time of working with the PC.

Each computer has a limit to the amount of memory it can hold. Upgrading will be different for each type of computer. There are certain situations with a computer's memory that might require an upgrade, it's always good to know the reasons behind necessary, and optional, memory upgrades.
In computer,Memory is an important component which control its speed and function.RAM is used which works like our mind. Now a days upgrade hardware coming in the market which is compatible with the current configuration.
Thanks
Proper management of memory is vital for a computer system to operate properly.Modern operating systems have complex systems to properly manage memory. Failure to do so can lead to bugs, slow performance, and at worst case, takeover by viruses and malicious software.
very useful post provided here, having great focus on memory components like RAM,USB drive..
